receive, store, and deliver
Receive
At Sparkman Furniture Services (SFS), our furniture installation process often begins with receiving the contract furniture at our warehouse, located in Richmond, Virginia, or on location where the product will be installed. In either case, we unload the product, check the packaging for damages, verify the quantity received against the quantity expected, note all issues and discrepancies on the paperwork, then forward the paperwork to you, our client.
Store
After receiving, product shipped to our warehouse is temporarily stored until the scheduled installation date. This timeframe is usually less than thirty (30) days and is particularly useful when the project includes shipments from multiple suppliers or assembly is required prior to delivery.
Deliver
When it's time to install, we load the trucks. To ensure the product is not damaged, we blanket wrap the furniture that is no longer in its original packaging and secure it within the truck so it does not move during transit. Once at the jobsite, we protect the flooring of the building by laying masonite and blanket wrap the elevators. Then we unload the truck and begin staging for installation.
